About Salman Nazari

My History

I was born in Pakistan and completed Year 9 high school. When i was 16 years old we moved to Australia in Sept 2015 as a refugees, with my Mum, dad and siblings. it was a fresh start for us, with no other family members around us.

Late Teens in Australia

i graduated year 10 high school and year 11 & 12 Collage at a Catholic school here in Australia. In year 10 i couldn't speak or understand English very well. so it was had to communicate and fit in with others at the school. during that year i felt isolated and alone. In Year 11 and 12 i struggled with fitting in as well. i was awkward around boys and especially around girls. There was a lot of shame around family as well. i didn't had a meaningful or deep connection or conversations with Mum and Dad. i struggled a lot regulating my emotions and feelings. i don't blame mum and dad for this, they had their on struggles and challenges in this new country and they did the best they knew.

Early 20s

I didn't know what career path take or what to do for a job or money after collage. i had my security license so would do security shifts at super markets or at events, but i used to absolute hate that job. it would find it dead boring and torcher, so i wanted a change. My Uni support teacher suggested that i do Certificate in Fitness and become a Personal trainer or a gym coach. She made that recommendation based on my interest in fitness and body building. i used to have a membership at a commercial gym and used to do body building and strength training. i loved keeping my body healthy and strong. So i said yes without skipping a heart beat. so i went on completed my cert 3 and 4 in fitness and became certified to train and coach people.

F45 Training:

it was during Covid lockdowns when i graduated and it was difficult to land a job, as the businesses where struggling and was only looking for experienced coaches. After few months of applying i finally got a replay and landed an Interview at F45 Training, i was in could 9. soon after i was accepted and began coaching group classes at F45 Training.

CrossFit:

At the same time i started CrossFit. i fall in love with CrossFit straight away, i loved the skills, movements and the intensity. the community was awesome too!

Early 20s

I learned a lot about training. in CrossFit i coached how to perfect Olympic lifts, such as Cleans, Overhead Lifts and Snatch. And i was also learning gymnastics such as Muscle ups, Chest to bar butter flies, handstand pushups and handstand walks. At the same time i was improving on my cardio and endurance. i was learning how to pace myself and how to hold threshold with out hitting the wall.

What i was learning at CrossFit i would bring it to F45 training, i was changing the culture at F45 in a positive way. i was creating an inclusiveness and fun environment in F45, i was enforcing discipline and having respect for the equipments in a positive way. at the same time i was very dialled in perfecting the members movement technique and form and implementing strategies on how to approach a difficult cardio classes and encouraging them to be smart about their pacing. i have always had a keen eye on how human anatomy works, so i would find it easy to point out where the issue was with their technique and how to improve it, even if it was as subtle as rotation their feet a degree or two that could improve their squat.
